LAETHORA: Performance Footage Of New Song Posted Online
March 6, 2008LAETHORA, the Swedish death/grind band featuring DARK TRANQUILLITY guitarist Niklas Sundin, has issued the following update:
"Last weekend's show at Sticky Fingers in Gothenburg was a blast and the audience responded really well to both the new and the old material. At the moment, we have five to six fresh compositions ready, as well as lots of material under development
and the plan is to enter the studio as long as we have an album's worth of music.
More information on this will follow in the near future.
"It's still a bit too early to know for sure what general direction the album will end up taking, but it's fair to assume that the songs will be both more intense and diverse than the material on 'March of the Parasite'."
A video clip of the new song "Uproar" performed live can be viewed below.
LAETHORA's debut album, "March of the Parasite", was released in February 2007 via The End Records.
According to a press release, the band — which also features THE PROVENANCE members Joakim Rosen (guitar),Jonnie Tall (bass) and Joel Lindell (drums) — plays "aggressive music firmly rooted in the death/grind tradition, yet challenging and innovative." In an interview with MTV.com, Sundin described the CD as "extreme and in-your-face, but organic rather than clinical-sounding."
